Place : Degustation Hall of the « Maison du Vin de Bordeaux »

Day 1. BORDEAUX. Arrival and accomodation in the selected hotel.
Day 2. BORDEAUX. Begining of the courses at the School Wine.

Economic basis of Bordeaux wines
Mecanism and vocabulary of degustation

Viticulture, physiologic cycle of vine-yards

Day 3. BORDEAUX. Red wines/ Visits
from 9.30 AM to 5.00 PM
Red wine production
At 11.00 AM, departure for a vineyard visit
Visit of a classified « grand cru » & lunch in a « Chateau »

Visit of a second vine-yard
Day 4. BORDEAUX. the « Médoc » & Red « Graves » / White Wines
from 9.30 AM to 5.00 PM
Explanations about the production, commercialisation and rules
Advice for your wine-cellar
The « Médoc » & Red « Graves » : presentation of the history names & degustation of 6 wines
Lunch on your own
Afternoon :
Dry white wine
Soft and liqueur's white wines
Presentation of the history names & degustation of 4 wines
Blind test degustation of 3 wines
Day 5. BORDEAUX. Begining of the courses at WIne School of Bordeaux
Expanations of degustation / Mixes of wines

Revision of degustation rules
Horizontal degustation : ground influence
Vertical degustation : ground and age influence
Lunch included by CIVB.
2.00 PM - 5.00 PM
The mix : the « key » of the harmony and the balance of Bordeaux wines
Realisation by the participants of their own mixes with Bordeaux vine-plants
Blind test degustation
Day 6. BORDEAUX. Visits
9.00 PM - 6.00 PM
A day to discover production aspects with a visit of a commercial firm, a vine-yard and a co-operative wine-cellar.
Day 7. BORDEAUX. Wine service / the mariage between the meals and wines
9.30 AM - Noon

the decantation : advantages & inconvenients of a young and old wine
Influence of the temperature on the wine degustation

Rules of the mixes between the meals and Bordeaux: tasting discover during a degustation-lunch
