BORDEAUX THE PLEASURE OF SENSES
5 days, LEVEL II

Aim : Discover the good quality of the wines of Bordeaux in a decontract atmosphere
Participants : every person with a LEVEL I Courses in French speaking.
Place : Degustation Hall of the « Maison du Vin de Bordeaux »
Intervenors : Professionals of wine set (oenologists, vinecellars...)

Day 1. BORDEAUX. Arrival and accomodation in the selected hotel.

Day 2. BORDEAUX.
Degustation and mixes of wines
9.30 AM - 12.30
Revision of the rules of degustation
Horizontal degustation : history of the name and influence of the ground
Vertical degustation : explanations about the ground influence and of the age influence
Lunch included by CIVB.
2.00 PM - 5.00 PM
The mix : the « key » of Bordeaux wines' harmony and balance
Realisation by the participants of their own mixes with Bordeaux vine-plants
Blind tests degustation

Day 3. BORDEAUX. Visits
9.00 AM - 6.00 PM
A day to discover production aspects with a visit of a commercial firm, a vine-yard and a co-operative wine-cellar.

Day 4. BORDEAUX. Wine service / the mariage between the meals and wines
9.30 AM - Noon
The art of wine service
the decantation : advantages & inconvenients of a young and old wine
Influence of the temperature on the wine degustation
Noon - 3.30 PM
Rules of the mixes between the meals and Bordeaux: tasting discover during a degustation-lunch
