Day 1. PARIS/ GIVERNY/ ROUEN
GIVERNY. Visit of Claude Monet's house, with its beautiful gardens, the Japanese bridge and the studio of the water-lilies. ROUEN. Capital of the High Normandy. Visit of « Notre Dame » cathedral, master piece of the Gothic art; its façade was source of inspiration to the famous painter Monet. Walk around the old Rouen: the St. Maclou church -fine example of the Gothic art-, the « Vieux Horloge » street and the Old Market, where Joan of Arc was burnt at the age of 19 years old.
Accommodation.
Day 2. ROUEN/ HONFLEUR/ DEAUVILLE/ CAEN
HONFLEUR. It was a famous place during the XIX century, visited by painters like Boudin, Sisley, Pisarro, Renoir and Cezanne. Walk around the picturesque « Vieux Honfleur ». DEAUVILLE. Summer resort of international reputation because of its luxury facilities and the American Cinema Festival. CAEN. Capital of the Low-Normandy. Visit of the Peace Memorial, where thanks to the advanced technology a travel through collective memory is done: from the 1st World War to our days.

Day 3. CAEN/ LANDING BEACHES/ BAYEUX/ SAINT MALO
LANDING BEACHES. Tour along Arromanches, Longues-sur-Mer, St Laurent and Omaha Beach, where is conserved the vestiges of the great exploit of the 2nd World War. BAYEUX. We suggest a visit of the Centre William the Conqueror to appreciate the Tapestry of Queen Matilde, which tells the history of the conquest of England. SAINT MALO. The famous and amazing « city of the corsairs ». Stroll along the walls and the old part of the city.

Day 4. SAINT MALO. Excursion to MOUNT SAINT MICHEL AND DINAN
MOUNT SAINT MICHEL. « The wonder of the Occident ». During the Middle Ages, it was an important pilgrimage place, during the XV century it knew its most glorious times. Visit of the abbey: its extraordinary situation and wonderful architecture make of it the most beautiful of all the abbeys in France. DINAN. The houses with a unique architecture and the old city surrounded by ramparts make of the natal town of Du Guesclin a picturesque enclave in the Low-Normandy.

Day 5. SAINT MALO/ GUIMILIAU/ LOCRONAN/ QUIMPER
GUIMILIAU. Famous for its religious site, formed by a cemetery, an ossuary, a calvary and a church with rich and beautiful ornaments. LOCRONAN. Its architecture whole represents richness and harmony thanks to the good conservation of the beautiful mansions of Renaissance style. QUIMPER. Built where the Steir and Odet rivers meet each other, it had developed around its cathedral, with houses from the XVI to XVIII centuries.

Day 6. QUIMPER/ PONT-AVEN/ CARNAC/ VANNES/ NANTES
PONT-AVEN. It is a harbour where Paul Gauguin and Emile Bernard created the « synthetism » painting style. The charm and the tranquillity of this place inspired them some of their most beautiful works belonging to the School of Pont-Aven. CARNAC. It is one of the greatest Prehistoric sites in the world. It counts with almost 3 000 menhirs in parallel rows. VANNES. Standing at the Golf of Morbihan, keeps alive the memory of Saint Vincent de Ferrer. NANTES. The main monuments are the Castle and the Saint Pierre and Saint Paul cathedral where is the splendid funeral monument of François II king of Brittany.

Day 7. NANTES/ SAUMUR/ AZAY LE RIDEAU/ TOURS
SAUMUR. Famous for its equestrian activities and its wines. Wine tasting in an important cellar. AZAY LE RIDEAU. « Diamond of the thousands faces », according to Balzac, it is one of the most amazing pieces of Renaissance architecture. With a medieval appearance, it represents elegance and luxury by its furniture, decoration and tapestry. TOURS. It is located between the Loire and Cher rivers. Visit of the « Vieux Tours », around the Plumereau square and the Saint Martin basilica, which is an important pilgrimage place.

Day 8. TOURS/ CHENONCEAU/ BLOIS/ CHARTRES/ PARIS
CHENONCEAU. The Castle of the Ladies. It has been inhabited by 6 Ladies, but only 3 of them have glorified this Castle: Catherine de Briçonet, Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medicis. BLOIS. During the XVI century, it was the favourite residence of the French monarchy, here Louis XII was born, in 1462. CHARTRES. Its famous cathedral is one of the gothic architecture wonders and an important pilgrimage place. It is still an episcopal seat. PARIS. Arrival at the end of the day. End of our services.
