REGIONAL, CULTURAL and TOURISTIC TOUR
in ILE de FRANCE, BURGUNDY and CHAMPAGNE

• The names of the superior tourist class hotels will be given after confirmation of the reservation of the tour.
• The entrance fees to museums, monuments and others are not included.
• Historical and general informations concerning the places visited will be given by the driver, except inside museums, monuments, castles and others.

Day 1. PARIS
PARIS. Arrival. The room at the hotel is available since 3 PM. The capital of France is located on a fertile plain in the confluence of the Seine and the Marne river. We hear lots of things concerning the « Ville Lumière », but Josephine Baker made the best synthesis of all that by saying: « I have two loves, my country and Paris ». As she did, numerous visitors say this sentence after having visited Paris and swearing to come back very soon! Accommodation.

Day 2. PARIS/ PROVINS/ TROYES/ DIJON
PROVINS. Overhung by the Cesar tower, surrounded by ramparts, the high city makes us remember what was Provins before, an important site which quickly became a commercial center. TROYES. This former capital of Champagne, designed in an Italian style, is particularly popular for its shops and its many examples of houses of « champenoise » architecture. DIJON. Of its former splendour when it was the capital of one of the most important kingdoms in Europe, it still preserves an exceptional cultural patrimony, such as the Palace of Dukes and of the States of Burgundy, which is nowadays a part of the Fine Arts Museum. Breakfast and accomodation.

Day 3. DIJON. Excursion to the ROAD OF THE BURGUNDY WINES.
NUITS ST GEORGES. It has given its name to one of the most famous wines of
« la Côte d´Or ». BEAUNE. Surrounded by walls and towers of the XIV century. The dukes of Burgundy left there wonderful treasures, such as « l´Hôtel Dieu », which is well-known for its coloured roof-tiles. In this place, every year, the third Sunday of November, old bottles of prestigious wines are sold in public sales. Possibility of tasting Burgundy wines in a local cellar. Breakfast and accommodation.

Day 4. DIJON/ VEZELAY/ CHABLIS/ PARIS
VEZELAY. Beautiful picturesque town built on the top of a hill that oversees the valley of the Cure river. Its basilica, master piece of the Roman art, sheltered the relics of St Madeleine. CHABLIS. This city gave its name to the famous white wine of the low part of Burgundy, which vineyards are among the most northerners of the region. PARIS. Arrival at the hotel at the end of the day. Breakfast and accommodation.

Day 5. PARIS
PARIS. Breakfast. End of the services.

Prices are per person in double room occupancy, based on:
