Day 1. PARIS
PARIS. Arrival. The room at the hotel is available since 3 PM. The capital of France is located on a fertile plain in the confluence of the river Seine and the Marne. Day 2. PARIS/ NANCY/ STRASBOURG
NANCY. To visit the Stanislas square; surrounded by 5 pavilions with arcs and circled by astonishing iron grilles, the garden of « la Pepinnière » and the School of Nancy Museum, called like this because the action of its members to develop the « Art Nouveau » style at the end of the XIXcentury. STRASBOURG. Capital of Alsace. City of the Parliament and Council of Europe. To visit « la Petite France », very well conserved historical area with houses of Renaissance style, the Gutenberg square and the Cathedral,
a Gothic masterpiece, was built in pink stones of the Vosges and has a tower of 142 meters height. Breakfast and accommodation.
Day 3. STRASBOURG. Excursion to THE ROAD OF ALSACE WINES
MOUNT ST ODILE. Since the Middle Ages it has been a pilgrimage town. St Odile, saint patroness of Alsace, founded the monastery in the VIII century. THE ROAD OF THE ALSACE WINES. Contrarily to what the other French vineyards regions do, the wines produced in this region are known according to the type of grape used to elaborate them. RIQUEWHIR. This town has not changed since the XVI and XVII centuries. It is famous for its Riesling production, one of the best vintages of the region. Breakfast and accommodation.
Day 4. STRASBOURG/ EPERNAY/ REIMS/ PARIS
EPERNAY. This city, known by its champagne production, is built above subterranean galleries where famous old bottles lie down. We suggest a visit with champagne tasting in the Moet and Chandon cellar. REIMS. It was, since the baptism of Clovis in the year 500, the city of the consecrations of French Kings. The Notre-Dame cathedral is a Gothic art masterpiece. PARIS. Arrival at the end of the day. Breakfast and accommodation.
