Day 1. BORDEAUX/ ST JEAN DE LUZ/ BIARRITZ/ BAYONNE/ LOURDES
ST JEAN DE LUZ. It was the marriage town of king Louis XIV with the Infant Maria-Theresa, on June 9th 1660. It is now an important and colourful fishing port. BIARRITZ. Thanks to the beauty of this place, its modern facilities, its confortable hotels, and its several sport activities, it is a summer resort and a touristic place of first category. BAYONNE. It is the most important city in the basin of the river Adour and the main departing point for the different tours to the Pyrenees. LOURDES. On February 11th, 1858, in the grotto of Massabielle, took place the first of the 18 apparitions of the Virgin to Bernadette Soubirou. To visit the religious area, formed by the processions esplanade, the subterranean Church Pio X, the Crypt, the Rosary basilica, the Miracle Grotto of Massabeille, the fountains with Lourdes water, and the Calvary road.
Accommodation.
Day 2. LOURDES/ PAU/ BORDEAUX
PAU. Birthplace of king Henry IV. To visit the castle where he was born and give a stroll along the boulevard of the Pyrenees. BORDEAUX. Arrival at the end of the day and end of the services.
