In 1858, 150 years ago, the Virgin Mary appeared 18 times, in the grotto of Massabielle, to a poor 14 year old peasant girl, named Bernadette Soubirous. Today Lourdes welcome 5 million pilgrims annually from 150 countries.
Transfer from Cityrama office to the Montparnasse station in company of a Cityrama representative. Board the Atlantic TGV train. After a pleasant journey, in one of the world's most modern train, you will arrive at 3.53 PM at Lourdes.
(3 PM from June); You will be welcomed by a representative from Lourdes Tourisme, and transferred to hotel La Solitude or similar, modern hotel located at the entrance of the Sanctuaries. You will have free time for the rest of your stay. We suggest to participate to the evening flambeau procession. On Thursday, you will take the TGV train back to Paris at 2.50 PM. - Day 2. Visit to Saint-Malo, city of the pirates. Lunch on your own. Guided visit to the Abbey of Mont St Michel. Free time. Stop on the way back to Paris.
