SPAIN

Country of festivities and of the sun, Spain reserves one thousand and one wonder to the visitor who ventures there. Its territory abounds in vestiges of its chaotic past and offers a wide range of activities. Country of cohabitation between three big religions, then it fall into dictatorship and the intolerance while developing a fantastic artistic and cultural patrimony, with no less than 25 000 festivities organized per year. Indeed, not a day takes place without a village in Spain, the smallest it is, celebrates one of the multiple festivals existing in the peninsula.
There are a lot of things to do in Spain, from cultural to sports events which offer unforgettable moments to the inhabitants and travellers. Spain is a country but it is also divided locally between 12 autonomous communities which have their own thinking and own art of living, with different customs and different specialities and even various languages. In the North, the green nature, in the centre, the authentic, in the East, the joy of living and the festive atmosphere, and in the South, the sun and the charm of a region influenced by the art and the folklore of other peoples.

Otherwise, why you would not lay on the warm sand of an idyllic beach? Due to its delicious dishes such as the paella, its national sport, The bullfighting, more or less appreciated during spectacular bullfights, its heady «Tablaos» of dance flamenco, or it would be due to its warm atmosphere, the image of Spain knew how to embellish in tourists' eyes already conquered. Let you seduce by the charm of an irresistible country, and do not spend much time and fly to the earthly-paradise...

BARCELONA

Insouciant and exuberant, passionate and dynamic, the capital of Catalonia leaves the sensation of a city in eternal movement, fundamentally European but deeply Spanish. Though it is Mediterranean above all. Surrounded by the avant-gardism throughout the XXth century, artistic movements represented by Mir ò or Tàpies built themselves up and their futuristic novelties became connected with the name of Gaudì. Indeed, it has lots of eccentric marvels to explore, from the famous unfinished church called «Sagrada Familia», in the park Güell, to the mysterious facades, as Pedrera or «la casa Amatller» and the Gothic district. These sites contain so many curiosities that it makes Barcelona one of the most attractive cities in Europe. Do not forget the «Ramblas» a pleasant avenue where everything will amaze you; the hill Montjuï and the immense leisure park of Barcelona, called «Barça» for close friends!

MADRID

The highest capital of Europe (646 m of height), Madrid is a pleasant city where life is enjoyable and where you appreciate the climate and atmosphere of stroll. It gives enough place to history and art to share with others, and in a traditional royal power symbolized by the Palacio Real dominating the West of the old town. Art and architecture lovers, Madrid is made for you! To quote just the unmissable places let’s mention the Reina Sofia museum, El Prado, or still Thyssen-Bornemisza, then tge famous Plaza Mayor dominated by the equestrian statue of Philippe III. If you prefer to go for a walk, why not go for a walk at the heart of the del Retiro park or discover the statue of the Bear and the «Arbousier», the symbol of the town. The city has lots of diverse entertainments like shopping, plays, terraces of cafes without forgetting its famous «tapas» you must try taste at the rhythm of flamenco music. In the province of Madrid lots of very interesting sites remain to be explored: Escurial, an abbey of the XVIth century, in the shape of steak pan to remind the «martyr of Holy Laurent», either the valley of «los Caidos» with its cross set up to the memory of the victims of the civil war and its basilica dug in a cliff, a really impressive place!

SEVILLA

The city was marked by Arabic occupation, but it learnt how to draw from the painful events of past to build itself up a consequent force: a valuable crossed patrimony. It is one of the three big cities of Andalusia to get the most important Islamist monuments in the country. Its varied landscapes and its warm climate make this southern part of Spain very welcoming, and thus favourable to tourism which it knew how to develop without any trouble thanks to its beauty which lives in it naturally. The gastronomy, leaves the taste of the sun in the mouth of the ones who savour it. The Moorish architecture cannot be separated from the city, go and discover the palace of «Alcàzar», Occupied during almost seven centuries by Spanish kings, the district of «Arenal» dominated by the «Torre del Oro», its cathedral and the «Giralda», the ancient minaret of the district of Santa Cruz, or the «Bella Artes's museum»; unless you prefer to attend the most spectacular ballets of flamenco, the dance which is the soul of Andalusia.
